Film & Video

I acquired my first Apple computer in 1986 and though I was a dance and fitness person at the time, I loved building my first database and writing/designing a training manual, complete with graphics. When the internet arrived, I was early into it, trying new things. Then, podcasting was invented and I wanted to do that as well. This led to being one of the first 25 video podcasters, producing new episodes every day for 402 days. We found an audience immediately; many awards followed.

All of which is to say I love the moving image. I studied with Henry Locke IV, and produced my first film while living on Maui. As a fun side note, I starred in a BBC documentary about a woman who was eaten by a shark! I am happy both in front of and behind the camera. I enjoy creating videos for many of my other art projects and I’ve become the go to person among friends and family to create memorial videos for those who have passed on. I was also invited to be part of a visual poetry project a few years ago. More of that in the Digital Art portfolio

I have a few samples below and you can also find more in my art blog or at my Vimeo profile or over 770 episodes at Beachwalks.tv.
